My client relies on insightful data to power our systems and solutions both internally and for our customers. They are seeking a data scientist to deliver that insight to us and build a product that we can sell. Their ideal team member will have the mathematical and statistical expertise youd expect but a natural curiosity and creative mind thats not so easy to find. As you mine interpret and clean our data we will rely

on you to ask questions connect the dots and uncover opportunities that lie hidden withinall with the ultimate goal of realizing the datas full potential in providing business with information that helps them to make decisions.

Job Specification

• Collaborate with business to develop an understanding of analytical needs and information needed for making decisions
• Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis and implement analytics for meaningful insights
• Keep current with technical and industry developments
• Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across various domains and industries
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores perform data and error analysis to improve models
• Analyze data for trends and patterns and interpret data with a clear objective in mind
• Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers
• Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operational systems
• Present information using data visualization techniques and Power BI
• Extend the companys data with third-party sources of information when needed

Job Skills

• Ideal candidate should have a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics computer science physics economics engineering statistics operations research quantitative social science)
• Basic knowledge of software development principles and architecture
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression properties of distributions statistical tests and proper usage etc.) and experience with applications
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to break down and understand complex business problems define a solution and implement it using advanced quantitative methods
• Familiarity with programming for data analysis; ideally Python SQL R
• Solid oral and written communication skills especially around analytical concepts and methods
• Great work ethic and intellectual curiosity
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure/AWS
• Knowledge of relational databases; ideally MSSQL
• Must be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
