Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Manage subordinates in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage employees by allocating tasks and effectively managing the on-site team.
- Manage and prepare world-class playing surfaces.
- Maintain close weekly communication with line management.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required by management including overtime and weekend work.
- Conduct regular site walkabouts and compile relevant reports.
- Complete machinery checklists and submit reports to the Manager.
- Initiate and manage staff disciplinary processes in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaise with clients and proactively report any issues to the Manager before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records and submit them to the Manager for payroll processing.
- Conduct monthly customised client audits and surveys.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Sport Turf Maintenance Level 4 or equivalent
- Must have minimum of 5 years experience in managing Cricket Facilities and Sports Fields to an International Standards
- Must have major sports event experience in the setup implementation and execution for International Sport Events
- Must have a good Irrigation knowledge
- A strong mechanical background will be beneficial
- Will be required to formulate quotes and do weekly and monthly reports which requires a sound computer literacy (MS office)
- Effectively Manage staff on site
- Financial experience specific to Site budgeting & cost control
- Strong administration and organisational skill-set would be more beneficial employing from within Servest having prior knowledge of our systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must be task-driven and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to deal with high-profile demanding clientele and be willing to work weekends depending on sporting events taking place
