Duties & Responsibilities

This is a fully office-based role in Johannesburg providing exceptional mentorship collaboration and exposure to exciting projects from day one.
What Youll Be Doing:
  • Assist with actuarial modelling valuations and quantitative analysis.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends risks and business opportunities.
  • Build and enhance predictive models using Machine Learning techniques.
  • Support the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions.
  • Work with chatbot and conversational AI technologies to improve customer experiences and business processes.
  • Develop analytical models that support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and present insights to key stakeholders.
  • Assist with financial regulatory and business reporting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on innovative data-driven projects.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science Quantitative Finance Mathematics Statistics or another quantitative discipline.
  • Honours degree is essential.
  • Masters degree will be highly advantageous.
Experience
  • 01 year of actuarial quantitative analytics or data science experience.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 45 completed actuarial examinations.
  • Outstanding academic record from a reputable university.
  • Graduated Cum Laude (highly advantageous)
  • Genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning and emerging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exposure to Python R SQL SAS or similar analytical tools will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate.
  • Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment.
