Job Summary

  • Oversee the technical management and maintenance of assigned bulk carrier vessels.
  • Ensure vessels comply with international maritime regulations class requirements and company policies.
  • Plan monitor and control vessel repair and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and manage vessel operating budgets including OPEX and CAPEX expenditures.
  • Coordinate and supervise dry-docking projects repairs and upgrades.
  • Monitor vessel performance fuel consumption and machinery efficiency.
  • Liaise with ship crews classification societies flag administrations and external vendors.
  • Investigate technical incidents equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely procurement of spare parts technical equipment and services.
  • Conduct vessel inspections and provide technical support to onboard teams to maintain safe and efficient operations.


Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering Naval Architecture or a related maritime discipline.
  • Previous sailing experience as a Chief Engineer or Senior Engineering Officer on bulk carriers is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar shore-based technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance dry-docking budgeting and maritime regulations (ISM SOLAS MARPOL and Class requirements).
  • Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field. An MBA is a plus. Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development in the submarine cables renewable energy or telecom industry. Strong understanding of cable systems and related applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex solutions clearly. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
