Founded in 2021 Optivers Singapore location is our ninth global office. As a fast-growing office we have the feel of a start-up but the backing of a large multinational trading Asia Pacific Optiver was one of the first global market makers to establish a presence in the region with the incorporation Optivers APAC head office in Sydney in 1996. Since then we have expanded our footprint by establishing offices in Taipei (2005) Hong Kong (2007) and Shanghai (2012).

WHAT YOULLDO

Our Network operations Engineers are directly responsible for the infrastructure underpinning all of Optivers trading and non-trading activity in general including office networks and a complex WAN environment. We are providing a reliable fast and well supported network and Unix platform to run our core business on this requires a good understanding of not only the technical network problem but also the broader business problem being solved. This team is successful when they are collaborating and solving complex problems with simple solutions and are constantly making optimizations in reliability capacity scalability and latency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments in Asia Pacific data centers including but not limited to network and security platforms

  • Drive research innovation and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimizations in our Infrastructure environment

  • Build manage and support our complex international LAN/WAN & security environment using modern tooling in an IaC (Infrastructure as Code) environment
  • Collaborate with developers researchers and our hardware engineers on projects that require a stable and scalable platform to operate on

  • Automate monitor and benchmark our various networks and systems


WHO YOU ARE

  • 10 years of working experience as a senior network engineer or architect with proven on-box experience designing implementing and troubleshooting complex LANs and WANs.

  • Experience designing implementing and supporting CampusLANnetworks ideally on Arista and Cisco products

  • Experience in managing network systems using Infrastructure as code (IaC) methodology
  • Experience working in a multi zone multi tier firewall architecture acrossAPAC

  • Experience designing implementing and supportingDCenvironments.

  • Experience administrating Unix systems

  • Experience in monitoring and managing diverseinternational WAN networks
