Job Summary

Summary: This role is for an experienced Welding QC Inspector to support a high-priority pipeline and oil & gas project ensuring all welding activities meet stringent quality safety and compliance standards. The inspector plays a critical role in maintaining project integrity by verifying adherence to technical specifications overseeing welding processes and coordinating with cross-functional teams. With a focus on quality assurance and risk mitigation this position ensures that all welds and related procedures comply with international standards and project requirements contributing directly to project success and operational safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct welding inspections at all stages of pipeline construction and fabrication
  • Verify compliance with approved welding procedures project specifications and quality standards
  • Validate welder qualifications and monitor welding activities for consistency and correctness
  • Coordinate NDT testing (RT UT MT PT VT) and ensure timely execution and documentation
  • Prepare review and maintain accurate inspection reports QA/QC records and non-conformance documentation
  • Identify defects or deviations and work with teams to implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with site supervisors engineers and inspectors to ensure seamless workflow and quality control

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience in welding inspection on pipeline projects within the oil & gas industry
  • Valid Aramco approval with CBT (mandatory)
  • Proven understanding of QA/QC procedures and welding inspection protocols
  • Familiarity with NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual Testing (VT)
  • Ability to interpret WPS PQR engineering drawings and inspection plans
  • Knowledge of applicable standards including ASME API AWS and ISO
  • Strong documentation skills and experience with inspection reporting systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality safety and compliance on-site
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities with field teams and stakeholders


Required Skills:

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects Solid understanding of cost estimation cost control tendering processes and contract management Proficient in interpreting construction drawings specifications and technical documents Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving abilities Competent in MS Office and industry-standard quantity surveying software Demonstrated ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines


Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
