Job Summary
Summary:
The Fire Protection Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering high-performance fire protection and firefighting systems for industrial commercial and oil & gas facilities across Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to ensuring the safety compliance and operational integrity of large-scale projects requiring expertise in fire safety standards technical design and cross-functional coordination. The engineer will contribute to project success by delivering accurate code-compliant designs while supporting execution through technical leadership and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Prepare fire protection system designs and engineering layouts
Design sprinkler systems fire water networks fire pumps hydrant systems and firefighting systems
Conduct hydraulic and engineering design calculations
Develop technical submittals material specifications and project documentation
Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and international fire safety codes
Coordinate with MEP teams consultants contractors and project engineers
Review project specifications and client requirements
Provide technical guidance and engineering solutions during project execution
Participate in engineering review meetings and project coordination activities
Maintain high standards of quality safety and technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in fire protection and firefighting system design
NFPA 13 Certification is mandatory
Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems and hydraulic calculations
Familiarity with international fire protection standards and engineering practices
Experience in oil & gas industrial or infrastructure projects is highly preferred
ARAMCO project experience is considered an added advantage
Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently
Preferred Skills:
Experience with industrial fire protection and fire suppression systems
Knowledge of Saudi Aramco engineering standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD and fire protection design software
Experience working on EPC or large-scale engineering projects
Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
Required Skills:
Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC engineering Strong knowledge of technical engineering estimation and operational works Hands-on experience with: VRF Systems Chilled Water Systems Good understanding of HVAC project execution and site coordination Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities Candidates available for immediate joining will be preferred
