INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely acquisition of all project materials and services to ensure the final delivery of projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EPC project procurement processes vendor management contract negotiations and supply chain optimization. The Procurement Manager will work closely with engineering project management and other departments to align procurement activities with project goals.
What Youll Lead and Deliver
- Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Identify evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value for project materials and services.
- Negotiate terms pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favorable contracts while maintaining quality and budget control.
- Oversee the entire supply chain process to avoid delays resolve bottlenecks and ensure materials are delivered to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to define material specifications ensuring procurement aligns with technical requirements.
- Monitor and manage procurement costs to ensure alignment with project budgets identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Anticipate potential risks in the supply chain such as delays or shortages and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies project requirements and industry standards maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Stay updated on market trends supplier capabilities and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
Requirements:
To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:
- Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in procurement specifically within EPC projects.
- Proven expertise in managing the procurement of materials and services for large-scale industrial or oil and gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract negotiation supplier management and project procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software (SAP Oracle etc.).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations shipping logistics and customs clearance processes.
- Certification in supply chain or procurement (CIPS CPSM or equivalent) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Procurement Planning: Ability to develop and execute detailed procurement plans to support project schedules.
- Vendor Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating contracts delivery schedules and payment terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Cost Management: Strong understanding of cost control budgeting and financial analysis in procurement.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Proven experience in managing supply chains to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
- EPC Procurement: Extensive experience with the procurement of materials and services specific to EPC projects including industrial equipment construction materials and technical services.
Soft Skills:
- Leadership: Ability to lead and manage a team of procurement professionals ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams suppliers and stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms and pricing with vendors.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying procurement challenges and developing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all procurement details are accurately documented and compliance requirements are met.
