About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Value Engineer to join our Value Management (VM) organization within the Intelligent Cockpit SBU. This role sits at the core of execution driving value creation through hands-on engagement in VM workshops and continuous development of the ideation pipeline.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify evaluate and mature cost optimization opportunities across IVI/CDC programs. By applying value engineering principles at the product and component level you will play a key role in translating ideas into actionable solutions that deliver measurable cost quality and performance improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly influence product competitiveness while building strong technical and business acumen.
Your Team
Operates within a cross-functional organizational model with no direct reports. Success in the role relies on strong collaboration and influence across diverse teams and disciplines.
What You Will Do
Lead and facilitate cross-functional VM (VAVE) workshops for RFQs and awarded programs driving structured ideation and actionable outcomes
Own and manage the VM ideation pipeline ensuring continuous flow prioritization and tracking of value ideas from creation to implementation
Analyze system architecture HW blocks and mechanical concepts to identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining product performance and quality
Collaborate closely with hardware and mechanical engineering system architecture procurement and program teams to validate feasibility and drive implementation of ideas
Support RFQ/RFX activities by contributing cost-saving ideas and strengthening BOM competitiveness through targeted value engineering inputs
Drive data-driven decision making by maintaining accurate tracking of savings pipeline maturity and implementation status across programs
Promote reuse of proven ideas and HW blocks across projects to accelerate cost optimization and improve time to market
Actively contributes to continuous improvement of VM processes workshop methodologies and tools to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency
What You Need
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field with technical background; an advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Value Management or related disciplines such as VAVE cost engineering (electronic/mechanical systems) or automotive component engineering within the automotive or technology sectors.
Understanding of automotive electronics technologies and the end-to-end value chain.
Proven ability to lead technical presentations and facilitate workshops with both internal teams and external partners.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis KPI tracking and relevant software tools.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
What is Nice to Have
Project management and organizational capabilities with a track record of managing multiple priorities effectively.
Experience with Automotive Infotainment/Intelligent-Cockpit products and projects.
Automotive Tier1 RFQ experience
