We have a great opportunity to join Emerson as our Testing Engineer. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Testing Engineer to join our Testing Engineering team that ensures conformity and compliance of the system with technical documentation contractual requirements client specifications and agreed standards rules and regulations.

Testing Engineer will be responsible for executing all the necessary activities pertaining to testing manually the functionality of analytical measurement systems performs the visual and technical verification (mechanical & electrical) and executes all the set up (connections & configurations) of the system to enter the functional test. Provides feedback and support internally in the project execution teams and provides feedback and support to after sales / service teams.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Review / understand customer technical specifications and standards to ensure system compliance;

  • Drafts testing protocols (checklist) for each assigned project and performs testing in accordance with these protocols;

  • Responsible for executing / supervising pressure (leak hydro pneumatic) mechanical (visual checks measurements gage check conformity to drawing etc.) and electrical tests (conformity to drawing point to point visual continuity etc.) on assigned systems project;

  • Responsible with set up of various components (valves flow meters heaters etc.) to P&ID E&I drawing parameters /ranges and ensuring functionality to said range / parameter;

  • Verifies analyzers test reports checks analog signals / digital signals and communication set up backs-up analyzer configurations files configures the analyzer applies relevant gases and checks measurement on the entire system purging the system with inert gas;

  • Assist service department with life cycle activities as needed;

  • Work within the constraints of a project budget and schedule;

  • Verifies that all components (electrical / mechanical) are rated andlabeled /tagged in accordance with the project documentation;

  • Takes ownership of all activities from end of manufacturing to shipment (preparation for testing testing FAT punch point drafting / closing and SAT).

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Engineering Degree (Chemistry Process Engineering Physics Electrical Engineering or similar) required;

  • Demonstrable previous work experience as a testing engineer of two years or equivalent in service or similar;

  • Sound technical understanding of process engineering and instrumentation;

  • Knowledge of applications in petrochemical refining LNG industries or equivalent;

  • Ability to read engineering drawings such as P&ID; GAD; E&I Diagrams; BOMs and ability to prioritize tasks and work on several projects at the same time;

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Products;

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed (5-15% of the time);

  • Drivers license;

  • English language skills - verbal and written;

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • Familiarity with switchgear control stations and junction box configurations;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle experience is an advantage;
  • Good communications skills;.
