Job Title: Backend Engineer AVP

Responsibilities:

• Implementhighly scalable secure and resilient backend solutions using Java 17 and Spring Boot;
• Develop test and document Java/Kotlin-based software components in accordance with requirements actively contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle;
• Maintain high standards of software quality by adhering to good practices and habits including thorough code reviews and contributing to technical standards;
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues ensuring system stability and performance;
• Write comprehensive unit tests for robustness edge cases and general reliability and participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code;
• Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to build deploy and manage robust scalable software solutions;
• Collaborate with BAs QAs and stakeholders to jointly develop effective solutions;
• Provide support to ensure high-quality releases;
• Thrive in a scaled Agile working environment collaborating with a global and diverse team;

Skills & Experience:

• 4 years of professional experience in backend software development with a strong focus on Java/Kotlin-based systems;
• Deep expertise in Java 17 and the Spring/Jakarta EE/Quarkus ecosystem microservices architecture docker containers Kubernates;
• Good understanding of design patternsawareness/understandingof SOLID principles;
• Knowledge of Datastructures/Collections;
• Proven experience designing and building scalable backend solutions and RESTful APIs;
• Experience with relational databases including advanced SQL and schema design;
• Good understating microservices architecture;
• Good knowledge of Terraform or other equivalent IaC tools.
• Hands-on relevant experience onGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers;
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge and experience with Agile values principles and methods;
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills and a strong team player mindset;
• Ability to work effectively in a global multi-cultural environment with teams located in different zones;
• Voracious learner. Youre quick to share tips and tools youve picked up and youre open to learning new things from your co-workers.

• At least one year of relevant experience with any Cloud platform (Azure AWS GCP). The experience should be hands-on. Not only just a mention. Not only Docker or Kubernetes.
• At least 6 months of using Terraform or any other alternative IaC tool.
• At least 4 years of backend engineering background with the following technologies:
• Language: Java/Kotlin
• Framework: Spring Boot/Quarkus
