Product Engineer, Electronics & Home Accessories Ceramics
Job Summary
As a Product Engineer Ceramics you will be responsible for bringing products from development into successful production. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams you will secure that products meet requirements for quality compliance functionality sustainability and affordability.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine product development manufacturing and supplier collaboration while contributing to products that make a difference for the many people.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the implementation of new products product changes and product improvements.
- Securing product readiness through risk assessments testing validation and technical documentation.
- Supporting suppliers during industrialization and production start-up activities.
- Driving product quality and compliance including managing deviations and improvement actions.
- Developing supplier capabilities and supporting continuous improvements in production performance.
- Building strong partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders across product development sourcing and supply.
- Contributing to material development and sustainability ambitions within the category.
Qualifications :
KNOWLEDGE:
- Very good understanding of Democratic design and customer needs and expectations regarding function customer friendliness and products critical to quality (CTQ)
- Very good understanding of Democratic Design and customer needs and expectations regarding function customer friendliness.
- Very good knowledge about DPOP and WoW in the Range Area
- Very good knowledge of the product requirements standards and test methods to verify requirements of products.
- Good knowledge of materials properties and construction and its impact on cost and sustainability
- Good knowledge of production processes and technologies
- Understanding of IKEA Strategic Landscape especially IKEA Purchasing Strategy IKEA Business model and IKEA Business Model for growth and key processes (e.g. PDP SDP DPOP) and IKEA Purchasing Manual
- Understanding of relevant Category Plans and Total Cost

- Good communication skills in English both written and verbal
