Job Summary
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to resolve high-priority incidents through advanced troubleshooting ensure SLA compliance analyse system performance trends and create mitigation measures by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Areas of responsibility
Triaging and resolution of tickets-Provide resolution to high priority incident (P2) tickets performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to ensure timely closure.
SLA Monitoring-Ensure SLA compliance for assigned technology areas and ensure proactive escalation management.
Performance tuning and optimization-Analyse system performance data coordinate findings on system behaviour and support capacity planning initiatives to enhance overall system efficiency.
Perform system Improvements-Create mitigation measures to evaluate new tools or improvements by collaborating with technical teams.
Handling disaster recovery-Perform security assessments and recovery drills and implement necessary controls to ensure compliance with established security standards.
Reporting and stakeholder engagement-Participate in weekly and monthly service review meetings provide updates on performance and issues and support stakeholder communication to ensure transparency and service alignment.
Team Management-Collaborate with team members to resolve open tickets and service requests.
Knowledge base and continuous learning Contribute to updating SOPs knowledge articles and maintaining the knowledge repository for the purpose of future ticket resolution.

Role & Responsibilities
Managed large-scale Oracle database estates including TB-scale Exadata and Exadata (ExaCC) environments.
Hands-on administration of Oracle Exadata (On-Prem) and ExaCC including: o Infrastructure and VM Cluster awareness o Database lifecycle operations on ExaCC o Coordination with OCI & Oracle Support for ExaCC incidents
Installation administration patching migration and upgrade of Oracle databases across Unix and Windows platforms.
Designed and implemented High Availability and DR solutions using RAC Data Guard and GoldenGate on both Exadata and ExaCC platforms.
Hands-on experience with ASM/ACFS disk group management across Bare Metal VM-based Exadata and ExaCC deployments.
RMAN operations including backup restore refresh clone migration and upgrade (host-to-host host-to-VM Exadata to ExaCC).
Patch management and lifecycle planning for Oracle databases Grid Infrastructure and Exadata/ExaCC platforms.
Expert knowledge of OEM monitoring for Exadata and ExaCC targets including alerting performance metrics and capacity tracking.
Performance tuning using AWR ADDM ASH SQL Baselines SQL Profiles ExaCheck and advisory views including Exadata-specific optimizations.
Implemented and periodically reviewed security compliance and VAPT controls for databases hosted on Exadata and ExaCC.
Coordinated with Oracle Support and OCI teams for Sev-1 / Major Incidents on Exadata & ExaCC.
Proactive performance analysis and recommendations to application and business teams.
Understanding of upstream/downstream systems server storage network and virtualization layers.
Automation using shell and PL/SQL scripts; periodic validation of automation effectiveness.
SLA tracking reporting and capacity planning for Exadata/ExaCC platforms.
Prepared and maintained audit-ready SOPs for Oracle Exadata and ExaCC operations.
Identified documented and mitigated technology risks including ExaCC platform dependencies.
Mentored L1/L2 DBAs on Oracle Exadata and ExaCC operational best practices.
Provided 24x7 on-call support for mission-critical databases
Technical Skills
Certification Oracle 11g/12c certified.
Strong database administration and troubleshooting skills
Hands-on experience working in Global Customer environment. Database Upgrades & Migrations (On-Prem Exadata ExaCC
High availability (RAC) setup and administration
Real time experience in handling Disaster recovery design planning setup and administration
Expert in Provisioning and decommissioning of Database including Instance/ASM/RAC/Grid Control/DataGuard/GoldenGate administration and monitoring tools.
OEM/OMS administration and Monitoring tools Configuration and management
Automation through scripting
Strong performance analysis on AWR ADDM SQL Profile ASH RAC Check EXA Check and advisory views
Experience on OS Storage Network and Virtualization activities related to Database.
Exadata & ExaCC Performance Optimization
Handled database estate of various technologies.
Process & Tools
Service Request and Incident Problem Change managements
Configuration Capacity planning and Knowledge management
Experience on ITIL Tools like Remedy Service Now or any other ticketing tool
