We are looking for a Junior Demand Planning Analyst with advanced Excel skills to support our demand forecasting and sales planning processes within a dynamic international environment.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract based in Cluj Napoca. We offer a hybrid working model.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Support the collection consolidation and validation of customer sales forecasts and demand inputs from sales teams and key accounts
- Maintain and update demand forecasts in internal planning systems (ERP / planning tools)
- Use advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets identify trends and improve forecast accuracy
- Monitor and analyze actual order intake versus forecast and highlight deviations
- Prepare regular reporting dashboards and forecast accuracy analyses for monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycles
- Support demand review and supply review meetings with structured data inputs and follow-ups
- Apply agreed forecast adjustments in planning systems accurately and within deadlines
- Ensure consistency accuracy and completeness of forecast data across products and customers
- Collaborate closely with sales supply chain and production planning teams
Required skills and qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in an analytical planning or customer support role (internships included)
- University degree in Economics Business Administration Supply Chain Management Statistics or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP INDEX-MATCH advanced formulas data modelling)
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured process-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Exposure to demand planning supply chain or S&OP processes
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar planning tools)
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools
- Additional language skills (German or other European languages are an advantage)
- Proactive and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Interest in manufacturing logistics or supply chain operations
