The opportunity
Junior Cloud Engineer - to join the EY Romania team and perform real-time management of complex cybersecurity platforms and cloud infrastructures.
You will be part of a high performing team who works together cohesively and effectively to achieve our and our clients goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure across environments (compute networking storage) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform;
- Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build test and deployment workflows;
- Monitor system performance availability and reliability using observability tools; proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues;
- Contribute to automation efforts for provisioning configuration management and operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual work;
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into cloud environments following DevOps best practices;
- Participate in troubleshooting incidents performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive improvements;
- Help enforce best practices for scalability high availability fault tolerance and cost optimization in cloud environments;
- Maintain documentation related to infrastructure setup deployment processes and operational procedures.
Skills and attributes for success
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related technical field;
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure AWS or GCP) and core infrastructure concepts (compute networking storage);
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools (CI/CD pipelines version control systems like Git Infrastructure as Code concepts such as Terraform Bicep or CloudFormation);
- Exposure to scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python or Bash) is a plus;
- Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (DNS TCP/IP load balancing);
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English especially for technical topics;
- Have any cloud related certifications (AWS Microsoft Google Cloud Terraform etc.);
- Have previous experience working with DevOps technologies and/or Cloud Platforms.
Ideally youll also
- Demonstrates reliability ownership and a proactive attitude in a team environment.
- Have strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies quickly;
