Context

The ITM Project aims to build a resilient and flexible ICT infrastructure that enhances business continuity and disaster recovery. It prioritizes replacing the legacy NS network with a modernized ITM Operational Network (ON) across the NATO Command Structure. The initiative transforms NATOs IT operations from a decentralized modelcharacterized by distributed networks server rooms and local supportinto a centralized approach with standardized services centralized provisioning (IaaS) and a centralized ESOC managing infrastructure and service operations. This modernization enhances efficiency security and service consistency.

Job summary

The IVV ITM team role is to integrate and assure that the new features requirements and bug fixes are implemented correctly (no new defects were introduced from one release to another). You will receive and analyze Dev team delivery (to accept or reject based on specific criteria) integrate the delivery following installation procedure on reference platform based in NATO facilities (Integration can be either remotely and/or in NATO facilities).

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and clarify if needed any requirements related to testing new features and/or bug fix
  • Create manual and automated tests for the ITM platform
  • Create / Update test cases and associated tests data in order to test the new features and/or bug fix (manual and automated)
  • Run test cases (manual and automated) during the testing phase of each release (enhancement releases patches)
  • Investigate when problems occur during the tests in order to precisely define what the problem is (a bug a wrong installation on tests platforms inconsistency among test data and/or test sheet) and synchronize with FRANCE team to share information and take the relevant actions and resume the activities
  • Monitor and reports on the progress of tests activities using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards methods and procedures
  • Testing existing system processes and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Meeting with key stakeholders to determine business system needs and requirements
  • Conducting and reporting on technical and business analyses
  • Assessing new software requirements and features for compatibility with current systems
  • Ensuring product quality throughout the development process
  • Integrate/commissioning from NATO facilities
  • Support project deployment
  • Capacity to move for several days/weeks (depending project phases) to NATO facilities

Required Skills & Experience:

Testing in order to validate the customer requirements

All of the tests will be automated -> automation skills -> CI/CD chain

Operations skills:

  • Terraform - Mandatory
  • Jenkins - Nice to have
  • Ansible - Mandatory ( Molecule Nice to have)
  • Gitlab (basic knowledge) - Mandatory (higher is Nice to Have)
  • VCF (VM Ware Cloud Foundation) full detail bellow:
