Our client is an establishedfood manufacturing companylooking for an experienced and hands-onInterim Finance Directorto lead and oversee the finance function in Romania during a defined transition period.

INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR

This is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who is comfortable working in afast-paced production environmentand who can quickly take ownership of an existing finance function identify priorities and deliver results with limited supervision.

THE JOB

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day finance and accounting operations
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Prepare management reports financial analyses and forecasts
• Monitor cash flow working capital receivables and payables
• Oversee budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
• Monitorproduction costs COGS inventory raw material costs yields waste and manufacturing variances
• Ensure compliance with Romanian accounting tax and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with external accountants auditors tax advisors banks and other external partners
• Ensure timely completion of statutory reporting and tax-related obligations
• Review and improve existing finance processes controls and reporting routines
• Identify potential financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate actions
• Support management with financial analysis and decision-making
• Monitor costs and support cost-control initiatives
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data and accounting records
• Work closely with the local management team and where applicable Group Finance/HQ
• Support any finance-related projects process improvements or organizational changes during the interim assignment
• Provide continuity and stability within the finance function throughout the transition period

THE PERSON

• University degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field
• 7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting ideally in food FMCG or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations
• Proven experience with financial reporting budgeting forecasting and cash-flow management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership
• Experience working in an international or multinational environment is an advantage
• Experience in interim transformation restructuring or transition assignments is a strong plus
• Good command of English; Romanian native
• Strong MS Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High level of accuracy reliability and business orientation
