Zalando Bucharest is our newest site playing a vital role in optimising our AI-driven infrastructure and driving operational efficiency alongside our Berlin headquarters. Were looking for professionals who thrive on continuous improvement automation and collaborative problem-solving to help us deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale.

As a Full-Stack SAP Engineer (C6) you will play a central role in building maintaining and scaling our ERP applications. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into high-quality reliable code. Working within our Engineering team you will focus on developing performant features using ABAP ABAP Cloud (RAP) SAP CAP () and BTP services. You will act with autonomy ensuring our S/4HANA environment remains efficient while delivering value to our customers.

Development & Delivery: Develop test and deploy features autonomously across multiple modules within our SAP S/4HANA and BTP landscape utilizing ABAP Cloud (RAP) and SAP CAP ().
Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality maintainable code through diligent code reviews automated unit testing and the creation of acceptance tests for new features.
Operational Excellence: Own the maintenance and operation of services your team is responsible for. Monitor system performance using metrics and logs and actively participate in root cause analysis for production incidents to increase system resilience.
Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers and other engineers to refine requirements break down epics into manageable tasks and proactively identify and resolve conflicts between stated requirements and technical implementation.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in and contribute to internal communities share knowledge across the team and help improve our documentation and developer experience through automation.

WED LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in ABAP development (OO ABAP RAP). Familiarity with SAPUI5/Fiori Elements is essential.
Experience: 4 years of relevant professional experience developing SAP applications.
BTP Knowledge: Solid understanding of SAP BTP services and cloud-native development practices (e.g. Destination Service XSUAA Cloud Logging).
Problem Solving: Proven ability to investigate system interactions identify gaps in requirements and suggest alternate scalable solutions.
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work constructively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Mindset: A proactive approach to learning; comfortable applying feedback to iterate on solutions and eager to expand your technology toolkit.
Clean Core: Knowledge of SAPs newest clean core development principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP Integration Suite.
Interest in exploring Business AI capabilities such as Joule integrations for process automation.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools like SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) or GitHub.
A strong desire to contribute to engineering standards and technical documentation.
