PYP Teacher

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha Qatar.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha Qatar offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are looking for an enthusiastic collaborative and inquiry-minded PYP Teacher to join our primary team delivering an outstanding transdisciplinary learning experience and making a real difference to the lives of our students.

The role:

We seek an individual to join as PYP Teacher where your focus will be:

• Planning and delivering high-quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with the IB PYP framework
• Creating an engaging inclusive and student-centred classroom environment that promotes agency curiosity and a love of learning
• Using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor document and support student progress
• Collaborating with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan reflect and review units of inquiry
• Embedding the IB learner profile PYP attitudes and all five essential elements throughout teaching and learning
• Promoting student agency voice and international-mindedness in all aspects of school life
• Building strong partnerships with parents and engaging them meaningfully in their childs learning journey
• Contributing actively to the wider life of EGA including school events CPD and school improvement activities

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE QTS or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school
• Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework units of inquiry and transdisciplinary learning
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging differentiated and student-centred lessons
• Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
• IB PYP workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable
