Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION (PERMIT CONTROLLERS) Job Purpose: To administer and control Permit-to-Work documentation maintain permit records and trackers and support field execution teams in obtaining and closing permits efficiently. Key Responsibilities: a) Receive log and track all permit applications submitted by construction teams. b) Maintain daily permit registers. c) Prepare permit packages for submission to Operations and Permit Authorities. d) Verify completeness of permit documentation prior to submission. e) Monitor permit validity periods renewals suspensions and closures. f) Coordinate permit collection and distribution to site teams. g) Maintain records of: a) Work Permits b) Isolation Certificates c) Gas Test Certificates d) Excavation Permits e) Confined Space Entry Permits f) Hot Work Permits g) Electrical Isolation Permits h) Update permit status trackers and issue daily permit reports. i) Ensure permit records are properly filed and auditable. j) Support permit close-out activities upon completion of work. k) Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure permit conditions are understood and implemented. l) Highlight pending approvals and permit bottlenecks to the Permit Coordinator. Minimum Qualifications: • Diploma or equivalent technical qualification. • Minimum 3 years of experience in permit administration within oil & gas projects. • Familiarity with QatarEnergy PTW requirements. • Strong organizational and record-management skills.
