Legal Counsel - Capital Market

Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to manage and update rulebooks contracts and policies in line with regulatory reforms and market needs. The role involves advising on legal matters liaising with regulators and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop review and update trading and post-trade rulebooks policies and legal frameworks.

• Provide legal support for product/market development and strategic partnerships.

• Draft review and negotiate commercial and exchange-related contracts.

• Liaise with regulators external counsel and international organizations on compliance matters.

• Advise on governance regulatory and employment issues while ensuring legal compliance.

• Stay updated on legal developments impacting capital markets and corporate operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Law (Masters/Ph.D. preferred) with bar recognition.

• Minimum 10 years experience in legal and regulatory affairs preferably in financial services or exchanges.

• Strong knowledge of capital markets regulations and corporate governance.

• Proven experience working with regulators and drafting legal frameworks.

• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
