OHS Service Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join our this role you will play a key part in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by monitoring analyzing and improving workplace safety standards.

• Oversee ongoing compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations policies and best practices across the organization.
• Identify workplace hazards and provide recommendations for their elimination or mitigation.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses on OHS performance including actionable improvement plans.
• Contribute to modernization and organizational changes by advising on OHS-related aspects.
• Participate in post-incident investigations to determine causes of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
• Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive safety measures.
• Provide expert guidance on OHS regulations and their practical application.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal OHS policies procedures and work instructions.
• Review and issue opinions on workplace-specific safety instructions.
• Take part in occupational risk assessments and ensure identified risks are properly managed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to organize and deliver OHS training including onboarding of new employees.
• Work closely with occupational health physicians and external laboratories conducting workplace testing and measurements.

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Health Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar OHS role.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in OHS (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent) is an asset.
