Job Summary
The Parts Supply and Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing international and domestic supply chain operations while ensuring full compliance with government regulations. This role oversees import processes analyzes logistics performance coordinates transportation activities and ensures adherence to customs trade and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Importation & Trade Management
- Manage end-to-end importation processes including documentation shipment tracking and customs clearance
- Coordinate with suppliers freight forwarders brokers and port authorities
- Prepare and review import documents (e.g. Bill of Lading Commercial Invoice Packing List Certificate of Origin)
- Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely arrival and minimize demurrage and detention costs
- Ensure accurate tariff classification and valuation of imported goods
Logistics & Transportation Analysis
- Analyze logistics and transportation data to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Monitor freight costs delivery performance and service levels
- Optimize transportation routes carrier selection and load planning
- Develop reports dashboards and KPIs for logistics performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain operations
Government Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations customs laws and import/export requirements
- Liaise with government agencies (e.g. customs trade and regulatory bodies)
- Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes affecting importation and logistics
- Prepare and submit required permits licenses and regulatory filings
- Conduct internal audits and ensure proper record-keeping for compliance purposes
Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with procurement warehouse finance and distribution teams
- Work closely with customs brokers and third-party logistics providers
- Resolve shipment delaysclaimscustoms issues and compliance concerns
Support risk management and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions
Qualifications
Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration International Trade or a related field
No. of Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in importation logistics transportation or trade compliance
Professional Exposure: Strong understanding of customs procedures tariffs and international trade regulations
Technical Skills: Proven experience in logistics transportation analysis or supply chain operations; Experience in regulatory compliance and audit processes
