New Business Case Coordinator

Job Summary
Position Responsibilities:
- Case management: Track and manage pending business; ensure requirements are ordered/received/matched/processed promptly.
- Decisioning: Comfort approving and implementing accepted offers that do not require further underwriting within authority limits.
- Prioritization: Manage multiple cases triage issues and meet turnaround times and service level targets.
- Continuous improvement: Identify bottlenecks propose process updates and contribute to standard operating procedures.
- Client service: Proactive updates expectation-setting and ownership of complex inquiries through to resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree preferred (business finance insurance or health sciences). Equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: 3 years in insurance new business/underwriting operations brokerage/advisor support or group/affinity benefits administration.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with life and health underwriting basics medical requirements (APS paramedical labs EKG) and the Affinity/Group benefits sales cycle. Affinity/Group experience: Prior experience with Affinity Markets products or group/association programs.
- Regulatory/Compliance: Understanding of privacy rules (e.g. PHI handling consent) MIB usage standards and record retention.
Preferred Qualifications Skills
- Systems proficiency: Experience with new business/underwriting workbenches CRM document management and case management queues.
- MIB: Ability to assign/update MIB reporting codes and run manual MIB reports accurately.
- Data accuracy: High attention to detail in reviewing medical requirements summarizing results and reconciling pending items.
- Vendor management: Ordering tracking and escalating medical vendor requirements; managing SLAs.
- Relationship building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers advisors plan administrators and direct clients.
