We are looking for an experienced and strategic Climate Sustainability Manager to lead our climate and carbon management initiatives across the organization. This role will play a critical part in driving Scope 3 GHG accounting climate reporting climate transition planning and sustainability compliance aligned with global standards and frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GHG accounting CSRD/ESRS SBTi and CDP combined with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and lead cross-functional sustainability initiatives.
What You Will Do
Own Scope 3 GHG accounting in line with the GHG Protocol including improvements in primary data collection and alignment with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) accounting.
Accountable for Scope 3 climate reporting under ESRS / CSRD ensuring alignment with external frameworks such as CDP and EcoVadis and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
Design maintain and operationalize the climate transition plan in accordance with SBTi including scenario analysis target setting KPI frameworks progress tracking and strategic reduction levers (e.g. internal carbon pricing).
Steer and monitor emission reduction initiatives across the organization ensuring governance progress tracking and continuous improvement in GHG accounting and reporting.
Lead SBTi engagement including target submission validation process and ongoing membership management.
Own Climate Risk & Opportunity Assessments ensuring compliance with CSRD EU Taxonomy and external disclosure requirements (e.g. CDP).
Act as single point of accountability for the annual CDP submission and rating including coordination of inputs quality assurance and performance improvement actions.
Act as a senior interface to internal and external stakeholders including global functions customers and consultants and manage complex climate-related customer requests.
Monitor assess and translate regulatory developments standards and stakeholder expectations into actionable internal requirements and governance processes.
Provide strategic benchmarking and performance analyses to support management-level decision-making.
What You Will Need
Masters degree Diploma or MBA in Sustainability Management Business Administration or related discipline with a focus on climate and carbon accounting.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Sustainability or Climate Management preferably in semiconductor or automotive environments.
Strong hands-on and strategic expertise in GHG accounting CSRD/ESRS SBTi and CDP.
Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Highly structured independent and quality-driven working style with the ability to operate with limited guidance.
Experience in change and transformation management including stakeholder alignment across organizational levels and external partners.
Strong influencing communication and facilitation skills combined with empathy and intercultural competence.
Experience handling diverse and demanding customer and stakeholder requests.
Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
International exposure is an advantage.
