The Kitchen Technician is responsible for the inspection preventive maintenance troubleshooting repair modification installation testing and commissioning of kitchen and laundry equipment. This role ensures that all equipment operates safely efficiently and reliably to support the hotels daily operations while adhering to engineering standards safety regulations and preventive maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Inspection and Preventive Maintenance
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and laundry equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and shift assignments.
Perform preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Complete operational and maintenance checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs replacements or upgrades as necessary.
2. Repair and Troubleshooting
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
Perform corrective repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment as required or as directed by supervisors.
Respond promptly to service requests and concerns raised by kitchen laundry and other operational departments.
Assist in the installation testing and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
3. Materials and Resource Management
Prepare material and parts estimates for maintenance and repair requirements.
Coordinate with supervisors regarding the procurement of spare parts tools and maintenance supplies.
Ensure proper use and care of tools equipment and maintenance resources.
4. Utilities Monitoring and Documentation
Conduct and record routine monitoring of utility consumption and equipment operating parameters.
Prepare accurate shift reports maintenance records and work completion documentation.
Maintain updated records of preventive maintenance and repair activities.
5. Operational Support and Continuous Improvement
Assist fellow technicians in carrying out maintenance and engineering activities as needed.
Recommend modifications upgrades or process improvements to enhance equipment reliability efficiency and performance.
Observe and promote energy conservation initiatives and best engineering practices.
6. Compliance Safety and Standards
Adhere to hotel policies engineering procedures and operational standards at all times.
Ensure compliance with Fire & Life Safety regulations and safe work practices.
Participate in mandatory Fire & Life Safety training drills and re-orientation programs.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment in all assigned areas.
Job Qualifications
Graduate of Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Technology or any related technical course; TESDA certification is an advantage.
With 12 years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance repair or preventive maintenance.
Knowledgeable in troubleshooting repairing and maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment.
Able to read and understand electrical diagrams motor control circuits and equipment manuals.
Has good problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to estimate materials needed for repairs.
Willingness to work in Muntinlupa City.
