Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other federal agencies all over the world.
The Junior Civil Engineer is responsible for developing managing and maintaining all engineering document control systems.
Key responsibilities:
Support engineering activities maintain and update project documentation and assist with daily project operations while addressing any additional client-requested requirements to ensure timely and effective delivery of project objectives.
Timely accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents. Gather log and distribute various engineering documents
Manage the numbering sorting filing storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams projects or departments
Track and expedite documentation including deviations that are controlled and traceable
Maintain established files of drawings and correspondence. Logs and routes interdisciplinary checks and supplier data.
Create and maintain distribution matrices
Interface with project personnel and clients and work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment
Ensure project document control standards and issued documentation meets the contract requirements
Evaluate existing document management systems and procedures in order to streamline the effectiveness
Assist in creating new policies and procedures that deal with document storage sharing sending and destruction
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or demonstrable equivalent experience in a related discipline
Licensed Civil Engineer
At least 12 years of experience in office administration clerical support or administrative coordination
Familiarity with documentation processes and administrative works
Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles with a valid drivers license
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and other office management software
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Professional attitude reliability and strong interpersonal skills.
