Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Scheduling and Routing: Plan efficient delivery paths book loads and assign drivers to specific trucks.
- Driver Communication: Talk with drivers via phone text or tracking apps to monitor their progress and handle emergencies.
- Compliance Management: Review driver logs and check that rules from the Department of Transportation (DOT) are followed.
- Problem Solving: Handle route delays bad weather alerts equipment issues and customer complaints.
- Administrative Work: Update records calculate miles process bills and complete incident reports.
