Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our fully remote this role you will be instrumental in designing building and maintaining the core services that power Astras payment infrastructure. You will work on challenging problems in a collaborative environment contributing directly to a product that enables seamless financial transactions for our clients. The ideal candidate is a passionate problem-solver with a strong technical background and a keen interest in the FinTech industry.



Responsibilities

* Design develop and maintain robust scalable and secure backend services and APIs.

* Write clean efficient and well-tested code that adheres to our high standards.

* Collaborate effectively with product managers designers and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality features.

* Contribute to key architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of our platform.

* Uphold the security and reliability of our payment systems through best practices and rigorous testing.

* Troubleshoot debug and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

* Participate actively in code reviews providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster a culture of excellence.



Qualifications

* Professional experience in a software engineering role.

* Strong proficiency in a modern backend programming language (e.g. Go Python Java or similar).

* Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

* A good understanding of database technologies both SQL and NoSQL.

* Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure.

* A strong grasp of software development best practices including version control (Git) continuous integration and automated testing.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

* Superb communication and collaboration skills essential for thriving in a remote-first team.

* A demonstrable interest in the financial technology sector is highly desirable.
