Senior Software Engineer Java + MongoDB

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with extensive experience in designing developing and maintaining scalable backend applications using Java and MongoDB. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in building high-performance secure and reliable enterprise applications with hands-on experience in modern Java frameworks RESTful APIs and NoSQL databases. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop test and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
• Design implement and optimize data models using MongoDB.
• Collaborate with product managers architects QA engineers and frontend developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean maintainable and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance scalability and database queries.
• Troubleshoot debug and resolve production and application issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews technical discussions and architectural decision-making.
• Work with version control systems (Git) and follow Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Ensure application security reliability and compliance with software development standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• 56 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17) and object-oriented programming principles
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Data and Spring Security.
• Strong experience working with MongoDB including schema design indexing aggregation pipelines and query optimization.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL is desirable.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
