As a NodeJS Developer you will develop and maintain backend services for Krank Techs asset management platform. You will work with NestJS MongoDB MySQL and AWS to deliver the APIs and integrations that underpin key workflows. This Karachi-based role sits within a technical product team dedicated to building connected solutions for equipment lifecycle management. Your work will support operational efficiency for OEMs dealers rental companies and fleet operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend APIs and services using NodeJS with a focus on NestJS frameworks to support core platform features.
• Integrate MongoDB for high-volume data storage and MySQL for structured transactional workflows within the product suite.
• Deploy and maintain backend systems on AWS infrastructure to support the platforms scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers by supporting data delivery for web interfaces built with HTML and CSS.
• Write clear code following best practices in reviews documentation and version control using Git.
• Support integration of third-party services or internal tools related to equipment inspections or auction workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues involving database performance or API reliability and deliver timely fixes.
• Design database schemas suited to both unstructured asset data (MongoDB) and relational requirements (MySQL).
• Participate in sprint planning by estimating effort for backend tasks aligned with product priorities.
• Implement automated tests for critical endpoints to maintain reliability as features are deployed or updated.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with NestJS in production settings.
• Proficient in NodeJS development including asynchronous programming patterns.
• Experience integrating MongoDB databases in live applications.
• Working knowledge of MySQL for transactional data requirements.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS infrastructure such as EC2 or Lambda.
• Ability to collaborate with frontend teams using HTML and CSS basics for data integration.
• Familiarity with Git version control workflows within a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to asset management or workflow automation platforms.
• Experience working on SaaS products serving B2B clients or enterprise users.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments.
