Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed Manual J heat load calculations for residential and commercial buildings.
Design size and specify HVAC systems based on load analysis and project requirements.
Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure accurate integration of MEP systems.
Provide technical guidance on equipment selection ductwork design and energy efficiency.
Prepare and submit technical reports compliance documentation and project specifications.
Conduct on-site inspections to validate installation and performance of HVAC systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project accuracy and timely delivery.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 35 years of experience in MEP engineering with a focus on HVAC systems.
Demonstrated expertise in Manual J load calculations and HVAC design.
Strong knowledge of Manual J Manual D and Manual S standards.
Familiarity with ASHRAE guidelines energy efficiency codes and sustainability practices.
Competence in Microsoft Excel and technical reporting tools.
