Mainframe Developer-Delivery Project Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Project Lead with a strong background in Mainframe Architecture to oversee and manage the delivery of complex projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project objectives are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of Mainframe systems.

• Lead and manage the delivery of projects ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope objectives and deliverables.
• Utilize Mainframe Architect knowledge to guide technical decisions and ensure the integrity of the architecture.
• Develop and maintain project plans schedules and budgets ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders providing regular updates on project status and performance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in project management and delivery methodologies.
• Mentor and guide team members fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Mainframe Architecture.
• Proven ability to manage complex delivery projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and their integration with Mainframe systems.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in software delivery.
• Experience in stakeholder management and client relations.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in project management (e.g. PMP PRINCE2) are a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
