About the role
We are looking for a Graphic Design / UI-UX Trainee to join our design team and get hands-on experience designing for real websites digital products and marketing materials. This is a training role for someone early in their design career who wants to learn how to design for the web and modern product interfaces guided by senior designers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing website layouts landing pages and digital storefronts under senior designer guidance.
- Support the creation of UI components wireframes and mockups for websites and web applications.
- Help design marketing assets: social media graphics banners email templates and presentation materials.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into revised design iterations.
- Assist with basic UX research and usability considerations when designing pages and flows.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and design systems across projects.
- Collaborate closely with developers and content writers to ensure designs translate accurately into finished pages.
- Organize and prepare design files/assets for handoff to development.
Qualifications
- A portfolio (academic personal or freelance projects) showing design fundamentals: layout typography color and hierarchy.
- Basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma Adobe XD Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Interest in or basic understanding of UI/UX principles (usability user flows responsive design).
- Strong attention to visual detail and consistency.
- Ability to take direction and feedback well and iterate quickly on designs.
- Familiarity with web or ecommerce platforms (Shopify WordPress) is a plus but not required.
- Degree or coursework in Graphic Design UI/UX Visual Communication or a related field preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
