Position Overview

The Data Engineer will support the team in building and maintaining data pipelines and transformations across an Azure-first environment. Working under the guidance of a Senior Data Engineer the role focuses on hands-on development in Azure Data Factory Azure Databricks and Azure SQL with exposure to API integrations and Power BI datasets.

What you will do as the Data Engineer:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines in Azure Data Factory for batch and incremental loads under guidance.
• Write transformation notebooks in Azure Databricks (PySpark/SQL).
• Build and optimize Azure SQL queries tables and stored procedures.
• Assist in integrating data from APIs Logic Apps and Function Apps.
• Implement data validation checks and monitor pipeline health.
• Follow data security and governance practices (PII handling Key Vault).
• Support Power BI dataset refreshes and basic model maintenance.

Whatyou willbring to the team:

• 23 yearsof hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) building pipelines linked services datasets
  • Azure Databricks PySpark / Spark SQL notebooks
  • Azure SQL strong T-SQL joins indexing basics

• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling fundamentals (star/snowflake).
• Exposure to REST API consumption.
• Basic familiarity with Power BI datasets.
• Good communication skills willingness to learn
