Associate SQA Engineer
Job Summary
RepairDesk is a modern repair shop management software with 40 powerful integrations and modules. The software is customisable to meet the workflows of single-store multi-store and franchise repair businesses in various industry verticals. Available in 30 languages RepairDesk is trusted by over 3000 businesses globally helping them save time manage inventory and run profitable repair stores.
Tasks
- Collaborate with Product Development and other cross-functional teams to review requirements and provide early feedback on potential quality risks.
- Analyze product requirements and create detailed well-structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform different types of testing including:
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Smoke Testing
Integration Testing
Exploratory Testing
- Perform testing across web applications and API layers.
- Validate RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Identify document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting details.
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues and assist teams in preventing recurring problems.
- Support post-release testing and production validation.
- Maintain test documentation and ensure proper traceability between requirements test cases and defects.
- Monitor and improve quality metrics within the assigned team.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups reviews and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of web applications.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycles.
- Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
- Strong problem-solving debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB or other QA-related certifications.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts playwright or AI related tools.
- Experience with API automation or UI automation tools.
- Knowledge of SQL/database validation.
