Position Summary

The Assistant Workflow Manager (A-WFM) supports the WFM Stream in advancing the companys transformation strategy by monitoring tracking and optimizing workflows across DWO and MT projects. The role focuses on streamlining processes improving efficiency and enabling automation while ensuring smooth coordination with internal teams and vendors. The A-WFM also provides risk management support and steps into senior WFM duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day owner of process improvement across DWO MT and other workflows.
  
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities by auditing live workflows questioning every step and challenging effort hand-offs or the steps that do not add proportional value.
  
• Generate and maintain a pipeline of CIP ideas; capture them through the teams CIP intake process and prioritize by impact versus effort.
  
• Scope define and document CIPs end-to-end - background problem statement hypothesis proposal cost/effort model success metrics and risk to a standard fit for management review.
• Build data-backed business cases that quantify time saved cost reduced and quality impact with clear before/after baselines.
  
• Run pilots and proofs-of-concept to validate hypotheses then drive approved CIPs through to rollout across projects.
  
• Track realized savings post-implementation and maintain the CIP tracker as the single source of truth.
  
• Monitor track and support the execution of workflows across DWO and MT projects.
  
• Question requirements remove inefficiencies and optimize processes for time and cost savings.
  
• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to model standardize automate workflows and give feedback to them post project completion.
  
• Identify workflow risks conduct assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  
• Assist in vendor coordination and ensure smooth implementation of workflows.
  
• Support team leads with production execution and provide guidance on SOPs and best practices.
  
• Develop WBS production metrics and CTRs in coordination with Q&PT.
  
• Conduct reviews of deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  
• Step into senior WFM responsibilities during their absence.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• 1.52 years of experience at Abyss with strong knowledge of workflows and operations.
  
• Proven leadership as a Task Team Leader in AIT across both MT and DWO projects.
  
• Experience working with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
  
• Hands-on knowledge of most MT and DWO modules.
  
• Solid understanding of facility- and component-level deliverables.
  
• Ability to create WBS and contribute to CTR and production metrics.
  
• Skilled in reviewing and improving client inspection reports drawings and standards.
  
• Strong reporting presentation and project brief preparation skills.
  
• Familiar with relevant industry codes standards and tools/software.

Qualification
Bachelors degree in engineering. A Masters level qualification in a relevant field of engineering and/or management is preferred.

• This position is only open forInternal Applicants.
  
• This is going to be a learning and development initiative where the individuals will be parked on Talent Bench as and when required and shall be onboarded to a permanent role immediately as and when required by business.
• Hiring Process for the role: This role will be filled through a short Workflow Hackathon open to everyone in AIT. Rather than interviews alone we want to see the thinking the role is built on: spotting effort we can remove and reimagining how and what we deliver.
