Nature of Experience: Experience in project controls / planning experience with at least 2 years on large infrastructure marine port EPC or heavy civil capital projects in a planning or scheduling lead capacity.
Education: Minimum 16 years of education preferably a Masters degree

JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for ensuring executing and planning all project control and scheduling activities across the project portfolio (Dredging 200m Expansion Equipment / Electrical works Civils EPC SILOS and related workstreams) in line with ADPG project governance standards. The role develops and maintains integrated project schedules monitors physical and earned-value progress against the baseline identifies critical path risks and recovery actions and provides timely planning analytics dashboards and reports to the Project Director and senior leadership. The Assistant Manager Project Control (Planning) acts as the planning intelligence backbone of the project safeguarding schedule integrity contractual milestones and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

AREA OF EXPERTISE: Demonstrated experience in baseline schedule development schedule control earned-value reporting look-ahead planning schedule risk analysis and forensic delay analysis on multi-disciplinary CapEx projects. Exposure to dredging marine works civil EPC mechanical / electrical equipment installation or port / terminal expansion projects is highly preferred. Experience working under FIDIC or equivalent contract forms with PMC and contractor structures is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop maintain and update the integrated Level 1 to Level 4 project schedules in Primavera P6 (or equivalent) for all project workstreams Dredging 200m Expansion Equipment / Electrical Civils EPC and SILOS in line with the approved Project Execution Plan.
  • Establish monitor and control the schedule baseline; ensure all schedule changes are approved documented and managed through the formal Change Management process.
  • Track and analyse contractor weekly and monthly progress submissions
    validate physical progress against installed quantities and reconcile with earned-value performance metrics (SPI CPI % complete planned vs actual S-curves).
  • Identify and report critical-path activities schedule slippages float
    erosion and forecast project completion dates; recommend mitigation
    and recovery actions to the Project Director.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads PMC and contractors to ensure
    interfaces look-ahead schedules (3-week / 6-week) and constraint logs are aligned and actionable.
  • Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports dashboards and management decks; ensure consistency accuracy and on-time
    submission.
  • Maintain the project risk-adjusted schedule supporting risk identification quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA) where applicable and contingency / float management.
  • Support claims and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments through forensic schedule analysis delay analysis and impact assessments; provide planning evidence for contractual reviews.
  • Maintain the resource histograms manpower curves and equipment /
    plant deployment forecasts for early identification of resource bottlenecks.
  • Conduct planning reviews and audits of contractor schedules to validate logic durations sequencing calendars and constraints in line with industry best practice.
  • Champion the use of integrated project controls tools (P6 Power BI MS
    Project Excel-based dashboards) and continuously improve planning data quality and reporting cadence.
