Role Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to manage our SQL Server-based apps. Youll troubleshoot issues optimize performance and collaborate with devs to improve app stability. CS degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- *Support*: L2/L3 support for SQL Server apps resolve tickets identify root cause

- *SQL Expertise*: Write/optimize queries stored procs performance tuning

- *Monitoring*: Set up alerts ensure uptime performance monitoring

- *Collaboration*: Work with devs PMs to improve app health

- *Docs*: Maintain runbooks troubleshooting guides

- *User Support*: Help users with app issues train on best practices

Requirements

- 4 years app support/SQL Server experience

- Strong SQL writing optimization skills

- Understanding of Windows/Linux servers networking basics

- Problem-solving communication skills

- CS/IT degree or relevant experience

Skills

- Certifications: Microsoft SQL Server ITIL

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure)

- Python/scripting for automation
