Vermont Telephone Company is seeking a diligent and highly organised Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a Full-Time position ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a busy office environment and is committed to providing exceptional administrative support. The successful candidate will be the backbone of our office operations ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 - $35 USD commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate diaries schedule appointments and arrange meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails phone calls and post in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and edit documents reports and presentations with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintain and organise company files and records both electronic and physical.
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors greeting them and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies inventory placing orders as necessary.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and the processing of expense reports.
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for staff when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant Virtual Assistant or in a similar office support role.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • The capacity to work independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
  • A high level of professionalism discretion and confidentiality.
  • A-Levels or equivalent qualification is required; a degree in Business Administration or a related field is advantageous.
