Account Manager Specialist

Grade Level (for internal use):

• Serve as the primary client-facing partner for post-renewal contracting procurement and billing engagement guiding clients through invoicing and payment requirements for a seamless commercial experience.
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve billing-related challenges ensuring alignment across procurement and finance contacts and proactively addressing issues that could impact client relationships or revenue realization.
• Act as a trusted advisor to both clients and Account Managers delivering a high-touch experience that fosters long-term partnerships and client retention.
• Proactively manage commercial and procurement workflows to ensure invoice accuracy timely payments and overall account health reducing billing friction and preventing unnecessary collections escalations.
• Contribute to faster client payment cycles reduced aging receivables and improved client experience throughout the billing and payment process.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

• An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 3-5 years of experience in account management client service or billing operations.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a strategic liaison and trusted advisor effectively managing commercial and procurement workflows.
• Proven capability to navigate invoicing and payment requirements facilitating alignment between clients and internal teams to resolve billing challenges.
• Strong focus on enhancing client experience ensuring invoice accuracy and contributing to reduced payment cycles and escalations.

• Ability to contribute to team initiatives to improve relative business areas and bring new ideas to the forefront.
• Proficiency in providing guidance clarifying complex matters and resolving issues that are varied and non-routine.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence including actively listening to others to understand their perspectives and concerns fostering inclusivity.
• Capability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency using previous experience to identify appropriate courses of action and interpreting technical information to aid understanding.
