Academic Coach & Student Advisor
Position Overview

The Academic Coach & Student Advisor works directly with school leadership teaching staff and students across our chain of US-based Islamic schools. This role bridges high-level executive goals with classroom and student executiondriving instructional quality supporting curriculum alignment and providing direct academic career and holistic guidance to students.

The candidate will empower students with essential educational information supportive training and courses and character development.



Requirements

Direct Student Coaching & Academic Advising
  • Conduct 1-on-1 and small-group academic coaching sessions to help students build study skills time management and goal-setting strategies.
  • Guide middle and high school students through academic tracking high school course planning standard test preparation and college/career exploration.
  • Observe classroom instruction and provide actionable data-driven feedback to teaching staff based on supportive courses attempted by the students through various platforms.
  • Facilitate student-led academic interventions peer-tutoring initiatives and habit-building workshops.
  • Assist students in overcoming learning barriers academic anxiety and motivation challenges in collaboration with teachers and parents.
Operational & Executive Alignment
  • Maintain regular alignment with the executive school board providing concise high-level reporting on educational KPIs student achievement metrics and coaching milestones.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
  • Masters degree in Education Educational Leadership School Counseling or Curriculum & Instruction (required).
Experience
  • 5 years of 610 standard teaching or academic advising experience.
  • 2 years in an instructional coaching student advising or supervisory role.
Domain Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of US K10 curriculum standards college readiness frameworks and standardized assessment models.
Cultural Competency
  • Strong grounding in educational values youth mentorship and cultural dynamics within a North American context.



Required Skills:

Key Responsibilities: Conduct online aptitude training sessions. Teach Quantitative Aptitude Logical Reasoning Analytical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. Develop lesson plans practice exercises quizzes and mock tests. Prepare students for competitive examinations university admissions and campus placement tests. Explain complex concepts using simple and practical methods. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Identify learning gaps and create personalized improvement plans. Stay updated with current aptitude test patterns and examination trends. Qualifications (Must Have): Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering Computer Science Education Psychology or a related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in teaching Quantitative Aptitude Logical Reasoning Analytical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. Minimum 25 years of experience delivering aptitude training for competitive exams university entrance tests or campus recruitment assessments. Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Qualifications (Nice to Have): Educational background in Psychology or certification in Psychology. Masters degree in Psychology Education Mathematics or a related field. Experience in psychometric assessments cognitive ability testing or behavioral assessments. Knowledge of learning psychology cognitive development and student motivation techniques. Soft Skills: Excellent English communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Patience and adaptability Time management Ability to motivate and engage learners


Required Education:

Bachelors degree in Mathematics Statistics Engineering Computer Science Education Psychology or a related discipline.
