Senior Software Engineer – Design System

Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us at Telia.

Im Hans Rasmussen Head of Customer Interaction in Norway IT and Im searching for someone ready to grow with us. Were a supportive forward-thinking team focused on building and evolving a shared multi-brand design system powering multiple brands across web and app surfaces.

What youll do:

Youll be at the core of scaling a design system that balances brand consistency with flexibility across Telias portfolio of consumer brands.

• Develop scalable reusable UI components and design tokens that serve multiple brands from a single shared codebase
• Collaborate closely with UX designers frontend engineers and brand teams to ensure the system stays aligned with real product needs
• Drive adoption and governance of the design system across multiple product teams and squads
• Contribute to tooling documentation and processes that make the system easy to consume and evolve

What will help you thrive in this role:

You thrive in the intersection of engineering precision and design sensibility and you enjoy making other teams faster and more consistent.

• Proven experience in building or maintaining a design system or component library at scale
• Strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies (React CSS architecture design tokens Figma)
• Ability to communicate technical decisions to both designers and engineers across organizational boundaries
• Fluency in English; Norwegian is a plus
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude and taking ownership of the quality and correctness of AI-generated code
