The Baker Hughes Summer Trainee Program is designed to give students and recent graduates hands-on work experience that helps build the foundation for their professional this role you will gain first-hand insight into the processes systems and practices that support strong execution and help meet business and customer needs through effective materials management and operational support.

As a Summer Trainee you will participate in focused training team meetings and project-based work and you will have the opportunity to present your results. Throughout the programme you will be supported by a buddy and your manager to ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can also expect coaching and mentoring to help you complete assignments and continue developing your skills.
You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and culture as well as the companys strong commitment to diversity equity and inclusion.
As a Mechanical/ Electronic Summer Trainee you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the rework repair and modification of non-conforming equipment.
- Supporting workshop activities involving oil tools and mechanical components.
- Using hand tools to support repair and maintenance tasks including changing seals and assisting with basic mechanical work.
- Helping organize work within the workshop structure and supporting day-to-day operational tasks.
- Maintaining a clean safe and well-organized working area.
- Learning through hands-on experience observation and collaboration with experienced team members.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be a current student in Mechanical Engineering Electronics Mechatronics or a related field.
- Have some mechanical background or interest with exposure to mechanical or technical tasks.
- Have electronic skills or an interest in developing them further
- Be proactive safety-conscious and eager to learn in a practical workshop environment.
- Be a strong team player with good communication skills.
- Be fluent in English and Norwegian Language both written and spoken.
- Be able to legally work in Norway without company sponsorship or time restriction.
