Job Summary

A client is seeking an experienced and result-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the companys supply chain operations within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement logistics inventory control warehousing vendor relationships and overall supply chain efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

The successful candidate must possess strong negotiation organizational and cost management skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate supply chain activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage procurement inventory warehousing logistics and distribution operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure cost-effective sourcing and procurement practices.
  • Negotiate contracts pricing and service agreements with suppliers and vendors.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials equipment and supplies required for operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures industry regulations and supply chain best practices.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering Logistics QHSE Finance and Operations.
  • Prepare reports memos and correspondence related to supply chain activities.
  • Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise and support officers within the supply chain team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operational efficiency.
  • Utilize MS Office applications and relevant supply chain management systems effectively.



Requirements
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering Purchasing Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
  • A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
Professional Certifications

Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications:

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Certification through the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) is required.


Experience
  • Minimum of 815 years of relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong experience in supply chain management procurement logistics inventory warehousing and vendor management.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain management procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and cost management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to compose professional correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively and manage team deliverables.
