Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized detail-oriented and experienced Store Keeper to manage and oversee inventory materials tools and equipment at our construction project site. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferably within the construction industry and possess strong inventory management record-keeping and reporting skills.


Key Responsibilities

Receive inspect and verify incoming materials equipment and supplies against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock movements are properly documented.
Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent shortages and project delays.
Organize and maintain the store to ensure materials and equipment are stored safely and efficiently.
Issue materials and tools to authorized personnel and maintain proper issuance records.
Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with store records.
Ensure proper handling storage and preservation of construction materials and equipment.
Prepare daily weekly and monthly inventory and stock status reports.
Coordinate with procurement project teams and suppliers regarding inventory requirements.
Monitor and report damaged obsolete or slow-moving stock items.
Ensure compliance with company policies safety standards and store management procedures.
Support project operations by ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment.

Requirements

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Store Keeper Inventory Officer or similar role preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping practices.
Excellent record-keeping organizational and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.
Ability to maintain accurate stock records and perform inventory reconciliations.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accountability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a project-site environment.
HND/Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Logistics or a related field is preferred.

Required Skills:

. Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. Minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong focus on road construction. Registered with relevant engineering bodies (e.g. COREN NSE or equivalent international licensing). Deep knowledge of construction methods materials and regulatory standards in road infrastructure. Strong leadership team coordination and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and project documentation abilities. Proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D MS Project). Willingness to travel and work across project sites in Nigeria.


Required Education:
