The recovery officer will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts implementing recovery strategies and minimizing loan losses while maintaining professional relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and recover non-performing loans and overdue accounts.
- Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies.
- Negotiate repayment arrangements with customers.
- Monitor recovery performance and prepare reports.
- Liaise with external recovery agents solicitors and regulatory bodies where necessary.
- Conduct investigations and skip-tracing activities.
- Recommend restructuring and write-off options where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving portfolio quality.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting banking and finance economics business administration or a related field.
- ACA ACCA ACIB or related certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years experience in loan recovery collections credit administration or related functions within a bank finance company microfinance bank or fintech.
- Strong negotiation and debt recovery skills.
- Knowledge of credit risk management and loan recovery processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Location: Wuse 2 .Abuja
Compensation: The budget for this role is 509500.32 Naira monthly net. There is a possibility of an upward salary review after 3 months probation (this is performance-based).
