Job Summary
The Project Manager provides overall leadership and management of road and earthworks construction projects ensuring delivery within scope budget quality standards and timelines. The role serves as the primary liaison between the client consultants contractors and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning execution and delivery of road/earthworks projects.
Manage project schedules budgets and resource allocation.
Serve as the main client representative and stakeholder contact.
Oversee daily construction activities and production performance.
Review and approve work programs method statements and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards safety regulations and contractual obligations.
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
Conduct progress meetings and performance reviews.
Ensure timely project reporting and documentation.
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years construction experience (road/earthworks preferred).
- Strong leadership and contract management skills.
- Professional certification (COREN PMP) is an advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end road projects specifically managing massive earthworks and sub-base stabilization.
- Experience managing multi-million naira project budgets with strict cost-control measures.
Required Skills:
