Learning and Development Specialist
Job Summary
- Provide input into the development and implementation of the Training and Development Strategy in line with organizational goals and business needs.
- Conduct and collate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) results and develop the annual training and development calendar.
- Liaise with line managers to identify employee training and development needs and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
- Coordinate internal and external training programmes including liaising with training vendors facilitators and subject matter experts.
- Support the design and delivery of relevant training programmes based on identified competency and performance gaps.
- Provide end-to-end logistics support for training programmes including scheduling venue arrangements participant coordination training materials and other resources.
- Plan and coordinate training programmes while monitoring the approved training budget and ensuring effective utilization of resources.
- Track training activities schedules costs and budget utilization against the approved annual training calendar.
- Coordinate ITF training approvals documentation compliance requirements and reimbursement claims.
- Provide training cost projections and relevant data to support the annual HR budget preparation.
- Ensure all training programmes are properly evaluated and that post-training action plans are documented monitored and completed.
- Monitor training effectiveness and assess the transfer of learning and impact of training on employee performance and business outcomes.
- Track key training metrics and prepare periodic reports on training participation completion costs effectiveness and ROI.
- Monitor L&D best practices and emerging trends and recommend improvements to the organizations learning and development initiatives.
- Support career development initiatives and provide recommendations on employee development and career progression.
- Develop implement and periodically review a holistic career pathing framework for the organization.
- Support competency development succession planning talent reviews and other talent management initiatives through relevant learning interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records including attendance certifications evaluations costs and employee development activities ensuring proper documentation for reporting audit and compliance purposes.
- Continuously review and improve training processes systems and programmes to enhance learning effectiveness and organizational capability.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Management Education Psychology or a related field.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM SHRM or CIPD is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development Training Talent Management or HR.
- Experience in designing and coordinating employee training programmes.
- Experience working with managers to identify learning and development needs.
- Experience managing training vendors facilitators and external learning providers.
- Exposure to performance management competency frameworks career development and succession planning is an advantage.
