Job Title: Land/Construction Surveyor
Location: Oyo-Kwara Road
Position Type: 2 Years Contract Full-Time
Remuneration: NGNMonthly (Commensurate with experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a precise detail-oriented and experienced Land/Construction Surveyor to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-accuracy geomatics and structural surveys establishing critical site controls and ensuring all construction elements align perfectly with engineering designs. The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional technical mastery over modern surveying instrumentation and data processing software.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Control & Establishment: Conduct comprehensive site surveys and establish primary/secondary geodetic control points across the project site.
- Precision Setting Out: Execute flawless setting out of complex road alignments including horizontal and vertical curves vertical levels and drainage invert levels.
- Geospatial Data Collection: Perform detailed topographic mapping and post-construction as-built surveys to verify structural compliance.
- Instrument Operations: Maintain expert-level field operation of advanced geospatial instrumentation including Electronic Total Stations RTK GPS and Digital Levels.
- Data Processing & Volumetrics: Efficiently process raw field data to generate detailed survey reports calculation sheets and perform precise volume calculations.
- Quality Assurance: Rigorously verify dimensions coordinates and survey data to eliminate layout errors before and during construction phases.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) / Higher National Diploma (HND) or Degree in Surveying Geoinformatics or a related Geomatics discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in construction surveying (specifically within roads infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects).
- Instrument Proficiency: Expert-level autonomous command of Total Stations GPS (RTK) and Digital Levels.
- Software Skills: Demonstrated ability to process field data and generate digital models/volume calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent surveying software.
- Technical Attributes: Sharp eye for geometric accuracy deep understanding of civil engineering layouts and the ability to work dynamically within multi-disciplinary site teams.

Required Skills:
Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering COREN Certification Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience. Proven working experience in Civil Engineering. Proven working experience in an Estate Development Company. Proficiency in Site Layout Project Management Utility Design regulatory approvals etc Project Management and Supervision Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of structural designs and practical knowledge.
